Looking at this forum, isn't this just a SAO cardboard cutout? Ah well, who gives a damn. LETS MAKE THIS A BETTER SAO THAN SAO WAS EVER WAS. Would the real world be like the one in SAO, where everything was a Lil bit technologically advanced? Or are we going full out, Hoverboards/Cars, Back to the Future advanced?

I think it's more or less current-time just with advanced gaming systems, such as if a couple of VSE's were released recently in our present world. I think it's different than SAO, though. I mean, SAO was specifically about swords and it was a game you could never log out of. This one's more developed and cooler

And we can make stories that aren't mediocre and cliche. I see what you mean. So is Collapsed Reality like the most newest VRMMORPG atm?

So it seems, at least from your post.

Iunno, it seems kind of boring to make the real world like the real RW. If it was, what even would be the point of having a real world?

The point of the real world is so that collapsed reality is a game instead of another world, and each character is almost like two characters jointly. It's as if we were all playing the game, just with time slowed down. I think.

Thanks for explaining that Pasi. This RP is pretty much based around characters that we make, whose stories that we write. How is your character different IRL compared to the game? That's one aspect that I'm really excited to see other people write about. But enough about that. Lets talk about how the Real World functions. Has it reached the point where we can have touchable holograms? Imma just leave a link to an anime which I consider as a similar setting: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtnT58xUo1g&feature=player_detailpage#t=397Hell, watch this show even, if you have time. It's really good

Touchable holograms, but you need special gloves to interact with them!

Ok lets put off the holograms. What about computers or technology for the matter? How advanced has that gone?

Well, if we really are going for future... here are a few things: -computers can read minds (not that that can't already be done, but I'm talking standard computer), the very old ones are touch screens -Siri has been made so realistic that some men have committed suicide as she was the only love of their life, the only person who's ever cared about them and their phone broke/ was stolen and they haven't had the money to replace her. After two cases of this, Siri was finally shut down, but since, NPC characters have been made so complex that countless times they have been mistaken for real players. Until they saw the marker thingy above their heads or whatever the GM's have given them in order to keep players from suing them. -Some of the Back to the Future predictions have come true, minus the flying cars- though other aircraft have been made so cheap that air and ground traffic levels have become about the same. -You can learn just about anything you need to using the most effective methods without having to pay. Google is everyone's best friend. All people are educated enough as to never even consider opening bing.

We don't need terrorism by robots. There will always be people willing to do that. And robots are still programs, which are controlled by humans. Biggest robot problems should be malfunction or bad UI lol. Are we going for a complex real world or just a real world for the sake of having a real world? Maybe there would be a new kind of Google- or, more likely, different search engines serving different functions of searches- educational, asking questions, finding articles, etc.. AI can always be created, what I'm saying is it'll just be more complex.
